The Plainsman runs true to size measurement with about 3/4” additional built into the waist. Many other brands measure up to +2” oversize. Therefore, we recommend sizing up compared to other brands you have worn. When fitting, the waist should feel loose before washing, expect a 1/2 inch shrink in wash.

The Plainsman fills the void between 5-Pocket performance chinos and traditional style khakis.

Fabric content blends 96% Pima cotton with 4% stretch, which delivers natural fiber performance that rivals synthetics. 

The cut is tapered through the leg and fits slightly more on the hip than at the waist. The pockets and trim details have all been re-thought.

A lot of you haven’t bought a pair of “real khakis” over the past 5 or 6 years, maybe longer. The khakis you own are worn, a bit full, and just plain tired. The Plainsman is here to remedy that.
